Delta Phi was one of the first three college fraternities founded in the United States. Started in 1827 at Union College in Schenectady, New York, it became one of the models for the Greek system across the country. Lambda chapter was founded at R.P.I. in 1864. Led by a strong alumni association and its Board of Directors, Lambda chapter has had a rich tradition of developing our undergraduate brothers into leaders and innovators, curious people who will contribute and make a difference in the world. While they are here at school, we provide a comfortable homelike atmosphere where they learn, explore and mature.
Our Board consists of nine alumni from different decades, led by our President, Anthony Bishop. We meet monthly to guide the organization and each Board member has an ongoing responsibility to manage a portion of responsibilities of the Board. Our undergraduates are led by their President, Anderson Corriero, and his team of officers.
Like our alumni Board, many undergraduate brothers take leadership responsibilities for a portion of the ongoing activities of the house and the undergraduate brotherhood. In this way, we make sure that the chapter maintains its leadership position on campus and in the community.
